Privacy Policy

Effective date: March 25, 2026

logger (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the loggercare.com website and the logger application (collectively, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our Service.

By using logger, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and password. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Authentication is handled by Supabase.

Care Log Data

You and your care team may enter information about the person receiving care, including but not limited to: medications, vitals, meals, bathroom visits, wound care notes, blood sugar readings, mobility observations, and appointment details.

File Attachments

You may upload photos, documents, and other files to log entries. These files are stored in Supabase Storage and are accessible only through time-limited signed URLs.

Usage Data

We collect basic technical information necessary to operate the Service. We do not currently use any third-party analytics or tracking tools.

2. Health Information Disclosure

logger is a family caregiving tool — not a healthcare provider, health plan, or healthcare clearinghouse. We are not a HIPAA-covered entity, and the data you enter into logger is not protected under HIPAA.

That said, we understand the information you log is deeply personal and sensitive. We treat all care log data with the highest standard of care we can provide.

What this means for you:

  • Your care data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.
  • Access is controlled through row-level security — you can only see data for patients you have been explicitly authorized to access.
  • We will never sell your health information. Ever.
  • We will never use your care data for advertising purposes.
  • Only you and the care team members you invite can see your data.

If you are a healthcare professional or organization subject to HIPAA, please be aware that logger does not execute Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) and should not be used as a system of record for HIPAA-protected health information.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • Authenticate your identity and manage your account
  • Deliver real-time updates to your care team via live subscriptions
  • Generate care reports and summaries you request
  • Send you transactional emails (account verification, password resets, care team invitations)
  • Respond to your support requests

We do not use your data to build advertising profiles, train machine learning models, or for any purpose unrelated to providing the Service.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in Supabase, hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). Our application is hosted on Vercel.

  • Encryption in transit: All data is encrypted using TLS.
  • Encryption at rest: Data stored in our database and file storage is encrypted at rest.
  • Row-level security (RLS): Database policies ensure users can only access authorized data.
  • Secure file access: File attachments are accessed only through time-limited signed URLs.
  • Authentication: Managed by Supabase Auth with securely hashed passwords.

While we take reasonable precautions, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information or care data.

  • With your care team: Data is visible to other members of the same care team.
  • Service providers: We use Supabase and Vercel to operate the Service.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law.

6. Your Rights

  • Access: View all your data through the Service at any time.
  • Export: Generate and download reports. Contact support@loggercare.com for full exports.
  • Delete: Request deletion by contacting us. Processed within 30 days.
  • Correct: Edit care log entries and account information directly.

7. Children's Privacy

logger is intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Contact support@loggercare.com if you believe a child has provided us personal information.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
